Trek to Green Lake trek is probably the most prestine trekking trail left in the world. The views on this trek are one of the best one can experience. Since the trek is situated on the northern most of the Sikkim Himalaya, sharing passes with the Tibetan plateau, the process to obtain the Green Lake permit takes at least 3 months. Accordingly, the trip should be planned well in advance.
Note: The Green Lake trek is officially considered as an expedition. Therefore, it is one of the expensive treks compared to the others in the Eastern Himalayas.
Day to Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Bagdogra airport and transfer to Gangtok, 2200m. Your guide and a driver will be waiting for you at the airport. Stay at Hotel.
Day 2: Getting ready for the trek.
Day 3: Transfer to Lachen from where your trek starts. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Gangtok to Lachen, 2730m. 6 hrs drive
Day 5: Trek to Tallem, 3240m
Day 6: Trek to Jakthang, 3430m
Day 7: Trek to Yabuk, 4040m
Day 8: Trek to Rest camp, 4725m
Day 9: Trek to Green Lake
Day 10: Rest at Green Lake, 4935m. Explore the area during the day and one can reach up to 5200m.
Day 11: Green Lake to rest camp
Day 12: Trek to Yabuk
Day 13: Trek to Jakthang
Day 14: Trek to Tallem
Day 15: Short walk and drive to Gangtok.
Day 16: Drive to Bagdogra airport.

CAMPING - Camping tents, using geodesic dome/A4, 2 persons in a tent, single tent supplied on request, mats are included but you can bring your own (optional), toilet tents and dining tent part of group camping gear. Guests need to bring their own sleeping bags.
